Namib desert

Part of a recent trip to Namibia was this trek through the desert dunes in 4x4 convoy. The metal wreck is actually a plane which mysteriously crashed. Looks military so Cherryflava speculates that perhaps it was shot down. Local get a real kick out of making dunes 'growl'. Here's the procedure...get yourself and crew to the edge of a steep dune...run down the thing together, and it's like you've just stepped of a tiger's tail. The europeans apparently do the trip just to experience this.

Sorry Steve - no idea...best bet is to ask the locals when you get there. It's a bit of a secret really.
