Banned advertisements and the PETA brand seem to fit together like seal clubbing and Canadians.

Whether it’s through their use of nudity, religious symbols, or purely vague claims [H1N1], PETA, despite their good intentions, are no stranger to controversy.

Therefore, because this notorious brand seems to always be in the spotlight, we’ve come up with a Top 10 List of our favorite PETA ads.

Although the SABC can barely afford to broadcast them, there are some really great ads made by South African ad agencies.

We’ve compiled this list of those that we think deserve to be showcased as the best South African Ads of 2009 to date.

With such good work as inspiration, hopefully we can see an improvement in some of the other attempts at product flogging:

Ladies and gentlemen, the catalogue is endless, but the quality can sometimes be lacking. Some match, while some don’t.
