The better alternative is to quit ingesting nicotine all together. If you don't want to quit - you'll just carry on smoking normal cigarettes. But the thing that makes the e-cig more healthy than traditional cigs is that they have no tobacco and none of the 4k chemicals that are in traditional cigarettes. They are healthier for smokers (& many people simply don't want to quit), the ppl around them because there is no 2nd hand smoke and the environment in general (no cig butts, no smoke with tons of chemicals, etc.).
