Our bank hates us. Whenever we go in there, they roll their eyes and expel short bursts of breath through clenched teeth if we dare ask a question about strange amounts of money that get deducted from our modest account.
FirstBank in Colorado however demonstrates its refreshing commitment to small business by giving their small business customers more advertising traction than the corner cafe’s bulletin board.
A series of rotating displays in high-traffic areas feature tons of business cards for their small business customers, flanked by the tagline “We care about small business.”
“The cards get lengthy readership from airport travelers, who stand nearby for up to 90 seconds, or longer, while awaiting the next airport shuttle train,” explained the pressfolk. [via Adrants]
These are our struggling customers - please do business with them.
It’s obviously a way for the bank to try make sure that their smaller business clients get more business, but hey…everybody wins. And it’s a whole pile better than these BS TV ads that are all hot air with little real feeling.

As contrived as this may be, I think that its a nice touch. Makes you want to open a small business account with them, and get some free advertising.

Wow I really like bank business card idea. I’ve seen this done in resturants. Great free promo for good small local cusinesses.

After seeing this I would actually consider banking with them for being so cool. I wonder do all of the branches participate in this or is it just this one? I know they just opened a branch or two here in AZ.
