GM celebrates bankruptcy with…a new TV ad

We were always under the impression that 'going bankrupt' meant that it was the end. Your business is over – finished – dead – complete…good bye.
In GM's case – all it seems to mean is that a whole bunch of creditors don't get paid and the company goes back to business as usual.
Just a few sleeps after they filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the US, they're already writing Chapter 12 with a new ad campaign called GM Reinvention.
Can a brand like GM come back from the flat-line lands of defeat to reinvent itself? No. If you were daft enough to run it into the ground once, there is no indication that you won't do it again. And cheesy, expensive TVs are not a positive start.

That is a nauseating piece of work.

I absolutely LOVE how, right now, there’s a GM banner ad on the top of your page! “GM South Africa continues to be self-sustaining…”
While I consider myself an eternal optimist, I can’t help but feel there’s a bite at the end of the tunnel for GM owners…

Yea, there is something just not right about how businesses can get away with not paying off their bad debt when not so long ago the whole bankruptcy laws were changed and it is harder for the common JOE to file bankruptcy.
Hooray for GM they must be so proud(please inject sarcastic tone). They seem pretty confidant from their commercial anyway. Whatever, I don’t have time for that nonsense.
