Xbox 360 hijacks PS3 launch

Last week’s launch of the PS3 in Paris was a civilised, gentile affair – featuring the usual happy first customer pics, midnight store queues and a quiet river cruise on a boat, which appears to be using a giant PS3 console as a sail?
The gentle VIP client glass-clinking on the boat was put to an abrupt halt by an approaching Xbox 360-branded barge – more lights, more colour, better booze.
Afterwards everyone on the Sony boat snuck over to the Xbox barge, drank free Heineken and enjoyed each other’s company over a couple of games of Gears of War. [...in our imagination at least]
