Monopoly gets branded

Just when you thought it was safe to haul out a nice simple game of monopoly to play quietly on a rainy Saturday afternoon – BAM – they go all Wall Street on the thing and the subtle product placement strategy gets deployed.
Five of the eight tokens in the new Monopoly Here and Now edition will
be branded, offering game players the chance to be represented by
miniature versions of a Toyota Prius hybrid car, an order of McDonald’s
French fries, a New Balance running shoe, a cup of Starbucks coffee or a Motorola Razr cellphone.
Our suggestion is for the South African version of Monopoly to feature tokens representing: a Telkom telephone, a tiny replica of Koeberg, a small bottle of Castle lager, a tiny Auckland Park SABC tower and a basket containing garlic, a lemon and a beetroot.

What happened to the AK47? Awso, do you get a hijacker with the car? MMmmm…
To go with the rest of the corny options, why not have corn on the cob as an option?!
