The world really used to be a much simpler place to live in.
Check out this series of comic book covers with unintentional double meanings.......
Of course, the spanking on the cover implies that Superboy has indeed done something to earn the title of a "bad boy;" perhaps in between brief stints of preventing robbers from burglarizing booty, Superboy was caught robbing booty from burglars.
Whatever the misdeed, his father has taken it upon himself to spank Superboy's pasty white ass raw, in what can only be conclued as an attempt to debase the puritan moral code of its time with depraved sadomasochism.
OK...so now that you're feeling clever after having your brain racked by that....it's now time to wow your friends with an article from the New Scientist on the subject of 13 things which do not make sense.
Example.....IT WAS 37 seconds long and came from outer space. On 15 August 1977 it caused astronomer Jerry Ehman, then of Ohio State University in Columbus, to scrawl "Wow!" on the printout from Big Ear, Ohio State's radio telescope in Delaware. And 28 years later no one knows what created the signal. "I am still waiting for a definitive explanation that makes sense," Ehman says.
Proof that the truth is often stranger than fiction. [Via linkmachinego]
