Winners galore

The limos started pulling up to Obz cafe just as twilight dusted Table Mountain with a pink glow. Crickets chirped, birds made their way home to roost in autumn oaks and paparazzi flashbulbs burnt the images of Cape Town top bloggers onto their digital platforms.

Well on time where Cherryflava's own danger man Dalton, accompanied by the breathtakingly stylish Susan. Making and entrance thereafter, was Cape Town's own lifestyle team featuring Seth Rotherham, Sammy and Mark.

Amongst others...notable attendees in the mix was Simon from legendary tech and ideas blog Ideafarm, coding champ Hilton, Clickthinking master Dave, Cape Town's surkski champion brothers...Ian and Greame Trautman, catering guru Catherine Collins and main party sponsor giant Paul Haring.

After a couple of bottles of chilled bubbly we got down the envelope opening process and honoured the South Africans that spend countless hours and effort fueling our desire for opinionated free speech. Applause sounded long an hard for each winner.

Highlights were clearly the Cape winners in the crowd. Cherryflava pics taking best photographic blog (thanks so much to everybody that voted for us, it's really appreciated) and naturally 2Oceansvibe who romped home with best lifestyle blog and best overall South African blog. Well done Seth.

The Vuvuzela trophies went down a treat in the darkened Observatory streets...at the time, the honking horns even caused one of the local muggers to paused slightly to acknowledge our cry.

The lavish event was then rounded off nicely with quiet Tequila and Jagermeister nightcaps and jovial banter amongst the attendees.

Thanks again to everyone at last night bash, voters for your opinion and readers for coming back. Till next year. Stay loose.
