This video is causing quiet a stir in the Cherryflava prototyping lab at this very moment. Can’t for a second understand why.
The Story of Locnville
Posted on 31. Mar, 2010 by Jonathan Cherry.
We generally feel a little guilty that we’re not huge fans of the majority of South African music. Our personal local music heroes are now sadly aging and most of them were not welcome in South Africa at the peak of their international popularity. But as old school as our taste has run up until now, we’re also developing a palate for a brand new sound that’s at the opposite end of that age spectrum.
We’re impressed with Locnville, ’cause they’re clearly passionate about their brand of music and deliver it with the kind of honest, natural rock star attitude that is so seriously lacking in other local acts. They don’t need to be shocking, or have a gimmick. They’re kids that are just enjoying their performance. Dig this video of their story so far. It’s compelling viewing of a duo that set to go far outside of our borders.
