Rugby World Cup 2011 ads

For whatever reason, we haven’t seen too many memorable Rugby World Cup ads leading up to this year’s tournament, which kicks off in just a few days.

But a small, tight collection of decent advertisements does exists – which we have now stumbled across. See them all here. [thanks Jonty]

Our favourite is the Mastercard Chester Williams ad [above], which you can read more about here.

This ad, featuring Sean Fitzpatrick urging Kiwis to Abstain for the Game has since been banned after it caused something of a national barney. Could be a sign of cracks showing already.

Something from Heineken…

…and Coca Cola.

Kind of a pity these aren’t being flighted on TV at the moment, but maybe it’s a few weeks too early.
