It’s about geeks essentially. Very rich and powerful geeks.

People are spending in excess of 3 million hours a week solving complex puzzles, impossible riddles and problems usually reserved for quantum physics professors, all for no payment.
Where you may ask?
In a universe far from here called Gaming. Jane McGonigal presents her ideas as to how we can save the planet by just asking these people for their help. But what it it about gaming that is so addictive for so many? We believe it’s the physiological trip of an augmented reality experience. Let’s face it – most people’s experience of reality sucks. For a few bucks you can change that by either buying a hit of heroin or getting a copy of Call of Duty. The designing of those experiences are, at this stage, still limited to very restrictive platforms, but the future is the development of those platforms into ever more life-like applications. ARGs and consumer brand experience design and development that brands can tap into are still in their infancy.
