Alonso and Massa are like kids at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

You’d think that if it is your job to rip up a racetrack in a rocket ship that struggles to travel at less than 200 km/h – you’d find it rather mundane to have a go on a roller coaster. But clearly that isn’t the case if that roller coaster is at Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi and it’s the fastest one on the planet. Just imagine how much fun they would have had if the thing was made by Red Bull.
Now we know what we’ll be doing for our year end party.

We’ve posted about this thing before – but now there’s video, which makes it real. Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi is like Disneyland, but for grown men who like beer and stuff like beer.
For some reason – watching this video makes us think of Marlboro. Weird that.
Welcome to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

The world’s first Ferrari theme park is set to open in Abu Dhabi on the 28th of October 2010. So far, we wanna go purely judging on the view of the complex from space.
Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will pay tribute to the passion, excellence, performance, and technical innovation that Ferrari has established over the years and represents today. Its iconic sleek red roof is directly inspired by the classic double curve side profile of the Ferrari GT body, spanning 200,000 m² and carrying the largest Ferrari logo ever created.
In celebration of the opening date announcement, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi unveiled one of its featured attractions. Officially named “Formula Rossa,” this attraction will offer guests a once-in-a-lifetime experience blasting away on the world’s fastest roller coaster reaching speeds of up to 240 km/h.
Visitors to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi will enjoy an aerial voyage through Italy following a Ferrari, a G-force experience taking passengers on an adrenaline-pumping ride up over 62 m, through the roof and back down again, and a flume ride journey through the heart of a Ferrari 599 engine.
Crazy stuff. But brand experience is the key factor here and Ferrari are investing heavily in that strategy. Just a pity the cars aren’t electric – or are they?
