During SXSW, Harmony Korine premiered Umshini Wam – a short film starring South African ninjas Die Antwoord.

If Die Antwoord and Jack Parow had to drink a case of Klippes and Coke and get handed a video camera after polishing that off with a giant bong – the result would be the movie Stoute Boudjies.
As punishment for not cleaning up after themselves in the kitchen – we may just send somebody from the office to watch it. The trailer looks dangerous, but if the success of Die Antwoord in the US is anything to go by – this has Oscar written all over it.

Sounds like it belongs in a Disney movie. It’s like the theme tune for Madagascar 4. Almost a mocking, stereotypical, sweet African song. It’s safe [something you'll let the kids nod off to just before you tuck them into bed], predictable and rather boring.
What they should have done was gotten Fokofpolisiekar, Die Antwoord, Jub Jub and Snotkop to join forces to record a fresh version of Welcome to the Jungle as the official tune. Mix in images of cannibalism, Toi Toi’ing, street football and Meerkats all set in the District 9 studio and you got a number one hit. Aaai?
Step aside Simon Cowell.

Smooching onto the fame of Die Antwoord and Jack Parow, now there’s the Skoltimaier 7even [try Google that after a few Brannas].
It’s clearly an ad teaser. For who? Who knows – probably Provita or something like that [considering the big reveal after the National Skirt Extension campaign thing from last year].
Go…play with it…speculate. The world is erupting and we need beer! [thanks Anton and Dave]
