Like the rise of Motown in the US – we predict a new breed of South African creative music energy…and it’s called Afrikaanse gangster rap.
Leading the charge right now is a boytjie from the north called Jack Parow. If you haven’t yet immersed yourself in his creative awesomeness – then have a listen:

If you thought Gazelle was a riot at this year’s Daisies, wait for this guy at next year’s event. A debut album is due shortly, but negotiations to use this track in an upcoming SuperSport promo ad are most certainly not on the cards.
