Bread in a can

Clannad_bread_close

Mmmm - there's nothing as satisfying as that first morning can of bread. Crack that tin can and release the freshly baked aroma of wheat and water that smacks of metal.

Sounds delicious hey?
Well it's not surprising then that canned bishoujo bread is now available at certain train stations in Japan
As an added bonus it's available in strawberry, green tea, butter, raisin, blueberry and milk flavour - just in case you were wondering if they'd taken care of your usual preference.

Will it catch on here? We wouldn't bet the game on it.

Cool business idea: City running tours

Cityrunningtours

With summer on its way, it's safe to assume that every available plane seat destined for Cape Town has been booked and the usual ho-hum; Robben Island..feed the baboons at Cape Point...dodge the muggers on Long Street tours have already been snapped up.

But we absolutely love this idea of city running tours from the US.

City Running Tours offers guided running tours of New York City, Chicago, San Diego and Washington, DC.
Ideal for the business traveler who is tired of on the hotel treadmill,  the marathon runner who is training for a race and is looking to continue or spice up their regular routine, or the recreational runner who wants  to explore new and interesting routes, City Runners Tours offers both set tours as well as customized runs to accommodate any athletic ability, style, training regimen or specific landmarks.

Perfect for Cape Town? Indeed!
Loads of tourists [who are also runners and cyclist] head to the city every year to do the Argus and the Two Oceans, but why should they enjoy the world's most beautiful events just once a year? Guided running and cycling tours of Cape Town could be a big business perhaps supported by sponsorship or tryvertising from brands like Nike and Adidas and can offer safer recreational running than if foreigners had to venture out alone [we're thinking mountain biking tours in Deer Park here].
Good branding, a wicked experience and a good dose of local knowledge are all key, but an excellent business idea and way to see the city.
