New from Yuppiechef: I am Phil

Even though we are unashamedly huge Yuppiechef fans, even we were shocked / amazed / surprised by their first effort at a TV ad.
Sadly there are ads, made by massively over-priced ad agencies with more talent layers than NASA on monster production budgets, that don’t do work half as good as this.
It’s honest, authentic, real and was made by Yuppiechef themselves. I am Phil has to be one of the best South African TV ads we’ve seen this year. And that on a budget of a bottle of Jack Daniels and a few lap dances at Mavericks.
Nice one guys.

Best ad?! Oh gimme a break. Who cares about Phil, what exactly is it selling and why the heck should I go to check out yuppiechief? Hmmmm maybe you underestimate what it is \"over-priced ad agencies\" (your opinion) actually do…

Hmmmm, hard pressed for a current local example as I do more internet these days than tv, but how about the mastercard Chester Williams/World Cup ad? Same kinda genre. Just felt the yuppiechef was empty, pointless and still I don’t know what they do!
