Corporate Sustainability: The next social media?

The words ‘corporate sustainability’ are being thrown around a lot of boardrooms lately and frankly the understanding of what they mean is a little vague even to experts.
There’s no doubt that business will be forced to adapt to a more sustainable model to generate a profit in future – so knowing what these words mean and how to implement a sustainable strategy into your business model will certainly be more need to know rather than nice to have.
A number of educational institutions do have courses on how to achieve this, the details of which will be presented at Spier near Stellenbosch on 5 August 2011 at a conference hosted by our friends over at Green Talent.

In our opinion, the future of business is not just about minimising the negative side affects of how you do business or the waste from the products that you make, but maximising the power of your brand influence for the good of society.
