So what’s happening with Cape Town’s MyCiti bus service?

This will make your blood boil if you’ve a tax payer and have been waiting for this ‘bus system’ that will hopefully help with traffic congestion in the city. The short answer as to why there is still no service? Politics!
So while committees sit in meetings, the brand new buses sit unused on the foreshore…rusting away your tax Rands.

Driving through Milnerton/Table-view earlier this week, I noticed the bus lanes are semi-permanently closed off. I presume they’re in the same situation…? Was this merely a “get ready for the World Cup” thing that’s now going to grow grass and fall apart?

I think it’s all part of the same problem. We think they should convert them into cycle superhighways and scrap the damn things.
