IKEA’s hyper-reality 3D chalk art in Sydney

It’s easy to amuse the Aussies. You either stuff up the announcement of a modelling contest or draw chalk art in a harbour.
2011 marks the 60th anniversary of the iconic IKEA catalogue and as it started to land on people’s doormats and in their letterboxes, IKEA decided to have some 3D fun with a chalk art kitchen scene at Circular Quay, Sydney. One sunny day in August people played in the 3D scene, creating an illusion of kids sitting in an enormous kitchen sink and mum balancing on the dish rack.
Life is calm and submissive in Sydney.
