Why would somebody who happens to be immortal, drive a Volvo?

It’s always seems an uncomfortable idea that a vampire would drive a Volvo in the Twilight movies.
Don’t vampires teleport to their next destination? Or at the very least drive something a bit more…racy and dangerous? It’s not like family car safety is high up on your priority list.

Its a genius disguise. The red eyes, pallid complexion, the super-sharp incisors made visible by the lips pulled back into a snarl…See this in any other car and you would be begging for your life…In a Volvo, he’s one of a million suburban housewives doing the school run the morning after bookclub, only prettier.
