Barack Obama – Times Square advertising icon

The cold weather in the States is making brands loss their heads. Garment company Weatherproof spotted the Pres wearing one of their products on a recent trip to China and decided [without bothering to get permission to use the image] to turn the pic into a giant Annie Leibovitz-type billboard.
They’re obviously going to be in big trouble and can look forward to an icy full body cavity search courtesy of the secret service, but hey…it’s great PR.

Ha ha! Good on the “Pres” and “Weatherproof” for such a clever promotion. I do wonder if the President will in fact take this further, as gee, the U.S. needs all the positive promotion it can muster. I really cannot see Mr. Obama taking legal action Do you?.

It looks like a win-win situation to me. What’s the worst that could happen? The White House sues you to take down you billboard? Suddenly your billboard isn’t just in Times Square, it’s featured on every news channel out there. Pretty crafty.
