&Union: Art on wors
Posted on 14. Aug, 2009 by Jonathan Cherry in Design
We were given a gift of an hour of time yesterday – so we spent it at the Cape Town train station, the Golden Acre and slurping an ice cold unfiltered beer at &Union.
Their poster for the upcoming music acts, however deserves additional savouring.
Brad from Brewers explained that nothing is photoshopped here and the lettering on the wors was painstakingly done with mustard and an icing bag contraption, inspired by the credits of the movie Napoleon Dynamite.
Puma have also left one of their toyboxes outside – the smaller version of the one they had at the Volvo Oceans Race. Looking at this picture now, we forgot to ask how the thing is powered, 'cause there's no visible generator anywhere.

Re how it’s powered – could what seems to be a cable on the far right corner be a clue?

Oh yes – this did all happen after the unfiltered beer – so maybe we were not thinking so clearly. Now we see it. Thanks Shane.

Pretty cool poster minus the typo – it’s LonesomE Dave Ferguson. Mustard must have been tough.
