A R20 000 reward, girls in their underwear and a ‘game’ in Cape Town CBD…
Posted on 23. Feb, 2009 by Jonathan Cherry in Totally Whack
Last week. photographs appeared of a girl walking in the street wearing just her underwear. Turns out that the coverage may have sparked a bit of a lovers feud [or maybe the fight started long before the public display] that's playing out online and now as a bit of a game in the Cape Town CBD.
A reward of R20 000 is being offered for the return of a USB Flash Drive containing information that my be a bit risque. Is this part of this week's 'Infecting the City' event? A R20 000 cash reward for the recovery of the drive is reason enough. First clues are due shortly.

Jeez, is this for real?? These reality “games” are so contrived … besides the money, what’s the point?

You’re either into playing these kind of games or not. It’s your choice.
Like theatre that you decide to pay money to watch – this version you could win money if you play.
If indeed part of ‘Infecting the City’, which is all about urban theatre, then it’s theatre using new media which is different and something new.
Get involved or don’t.

I don’t understand what the girl in underwear has to do with this? And also – what’s stopping the guy from copying the info off the flashdisk? Seems a bit nonsensical.

hey let the people play the game if they want to. And would those people who keep posting the clues online please stop! Whats the point in taking part in the scavenger hunt if the clues are just going to be handed out???
