There’s also one in the Netherlands, and they must be doing ok if they’re opening across the world.
Not so sure that it’s a ‘gimmick’ thing, it’s an eco initiative thing and a pretty clever one at that. It doesn’t have to be a trance club at all – surely it’s not just hippies who are eco conscious?
Then again, South African’s are not that progressive minded when it comes to eco issues, so it may not be as successful as the other ones if people don’t get the point.

it is a gimmic, but it does give food for thought. i think generating power by alternative, clean means is always worth looking at. for gimmic to saving the world…

It just needs to be a trance club. The eco idea will suit the hippie trance vibe and the associated foot stomping will probably generate surplus power.
