It seems like every month now, the US Federal Reserve cuts the American interest rate, while at the same time our guy hikes ours upwards.

How does all this economics jibba jabba affect you if you’re not directly invested in the JSE? As the old saying goes – if America catches a cold, the rest of the world comes down with pneumonia, so prepare yourself for an extended period of challenges.
Thanks to the current US credit crunch, tented cities are mushrooming on the outskirts of LA so report the BBC.  The end of the American empire – or just a bump in the road?
