Another reason to wear goggles in a public swimming pool

Copy: “Don’t let this be our future. Save our rainforest, stop global warming.”
Interesting ad on the wall of a public swimming pool in Malaysia.
We wonder however how accurate this message really is. Will the melting of the polar ice caps seriously result in coastal cities disappearing under water like this – or should these people be reported to the ASA for misleading advertising.
Thanks Shane for sending in. [via]

Many irresponsible advertisers subtly mislead consumers on a daily basis. I hope that this is an exaggeration of the effects of global warming but at least it is for a positive cause, not just to sell yet another non-essential product.

I did a bit of research on what level the sea is meant to rise to and found many conflicting reports. Some of which can be found here http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2-2100776,00.html . You can then compare the best/worst case scenario with this image http://www.globalwarmingart.com/images/2/2c/Global_Sea_Level_Rise_Risks.png , to gain a better understanding of the effects of global warming.
