Dove receive an ‘Onslaught’ of flack for their new ad

Thanks to freedom of speech on the net – there’s just nowhere these big guys can hide the truth.
Dove have released a follow-up to their very successful Dove Evolution ad campaign.
The ad, titled ‘Onslaught’, carries the message: "Talk to your daughter before the beauty industry does”.
The clip shows hypothetical beauty
through the eyes of a young girl. Bombarded with unrealistic media
standards today, these are the images Dove thinks young girls, and even
women, hold as ideals.
The problem with their ‘do-gooder’ stance is that people have realised that Dove is made by Unilever, the massive corporate responsible for many of the images of perfection this thing is pointing fingers at.
Oh well – maybe that was part of their evil and crafty plan to get everyone talking about it. We’ll just go back to using our trusty bar of Life Buoy.

That’s disappointing (about Unilever)…but I’m glad a big corporation is saying SOMEthing about this issue. Dove didn’t have to start this campaign, but I’m glad they did.
