London 2012 Olympic games logo exposed

Let the jeering and booing begin.
Here it is – the London 2012 Games logo sorry, brand….which can quiet clearly been seen as a jagged emblem, based on the date 2012 [if you squint your eyes just right and step back 5 paces].
It comes in a series
of shades of pink, blue, green and orange and will evolve in the run-up
to the Games.
The new design apparently cost £400,000 – which the Olympic committee could easily have wired our way and we too would have got out 5 year old blood relative to throw their collection of crayons to deliver something similar.
Seriously – £400,000 for this….sold with creative rational that took a boozy afternoon’s thumb sucking and a box of Crayolas?
Makes our 2010 logo look like a Van Gogh!

I think the logo is ok, pretty unusual. Still, it is absolutely agressive (because of the colours, the shapes and the movements) and especially the movie scares me. Maybe it is a symbol for competition or merely for the mental effects of doping..

I’m in London at the moment and everyone from the cat to the kitchen sink is appalled by this logo “design”.

I don’t believe the logo creators Wolff-Olins are brain-dead. Watch the evolution of the logo in tandem with the Olympic facilities – from primitive to world-class. The whole thing is a clever publicity stunt with many suckers [see above].
