Banned ads: Shocking Amy Biehl Foundation ad
Posted on 21. Jun, 2007 by Jonathan Cherry in Advertising
We’ve personally never seen this ad flighted, but now that it has been banned – our attention has been diverted from our morning check on the markets to the recently outlawed TV ad for the Amy Biehl foundation.
There’s something hugely unsettling about this commercial.
We’re not sure whether it’s the images of kids threatening to hi-jack everybody or the melodramatic music score, but it’s probably a good thing this was turfed.
Our suggestion to the foundation – why don’t you show us what’s possible with our donation rather than trying to scare the living daylights out of us.

BTW – it also looks like that Hyundai ad where the poor scorpion meets his maker at the end of some literary capable chic’s foot also got the can. Could have sworn it was on just the other night.
