Scoops – the spa for kids
Posted on 03. May, 2007 by Jonathan Cherry in Uncategorized

Gone are the days where kids would be more than happy spending an afternoon throwing acorns (hummed to the theme tune of the A-team) at each other to relax.
These days children go to the spa – for that all important stress release therapy the little mites need so badly.
Soon to be opened In the USA, Scoops is a spa resort just for kids under the age of 12.
The spas treats have a sweets theme. Bath’s ice cream-themed products such as ice cream bath fizz, shower
sherbet scrub, sundae topping foot mask and moisturizing body icing are used.
There are also flavorful manicures and pedicures such as
chocolate-covered strawberry, coconut cream pie and gummy worm. The spa
is also decorated like an ice cream parlor including a pedicure sofa
that looks like a giant sundae.
We still prefer the idea of lobbing Mike’s Kitchen peppermints at the security guards from the upper levels of the Golden Acre. Those were the days.

This place is a fricken rip off. Seriously. You spend $20\’s left n right, and the nail polish comes right off in the water park at the lodge. Joke. Avoid to save a massive headache and more. The girls working behind the counter are complete dummies too.

Duh…nail polish is always going to come off in a pool. That’s a no brainer. Sounds like the staff aren’t the only ones that aren’t too bright…hint hint.

So…I visited the scoops at mall of america and got my daughter’s haircut for the first day of kindergarten and at the end of the haircut, the cashier had no idea how to ring it up. It was $30 for a haircut. So I waited for a good 20 minutes while she tried to contact her manager and couldn’t get through. I said, can I just write you a check for $30 as we had to get going and she said sure. I did and left a $10 tip in cash. The store contacted me tonight to ask for my credit card over the phone because they did not take checks! I said I would not give my card over the phone and then they proceeded to threaten me with legal action because I did not pay for their service. Seriously!!!! You have got to be kidding me! I did pay for the service! So now I am awaiting why type of legal action they will be pursuing because I wouldn’t give my credit card number over the phone!! Terrible customer service, I will never visit again!

the scoops in great wolf, grand mound washington is great! the staff was amazing. they even made my 3 year old feel important even though she wasnt getting a service. the prices are steep, but when you are forking out 500 plus for one nights stay its to be expected. it is a resort and resort prices are generally higher.
give scoops grand mound a shot! they also do locals and if you tell them you are not staying there they will give you a discount.
