Does this radio ad shock you as a South African?

Sowetancover2504_2 The Sowetan, a Johannesburg-based newsapaper, is flighting an ad which is getting handbags flying and tempers flaring.

Playing on the famous Dr Martin Luther King 'I have a dream speech' - the ad seems to have hit a bit of a nerve with South Africans.

Have a listen. What do you think?

Listen here.

From our point of view...there's a very clear irony in the message considering the advertiser.

What a kak ad.

Phew, that's confrontational. Truth hurts sometimes.

Awesome ad. The kind you can't ignore, with a very clear message. Even better, anyone opposed to it would have to have good reasons and to articulate them well, taking the message even further. It's a win-win.

*First time in here, all the way from Kenya. Awesome site.
