Collaboration billboard

Brand collaboration is nothing new, but advertising collaboration is perhaps one of those marketing areas, which advertising agencies have never been keen on.
You go try convince a new agency to even consider continuing an old ad concept, successfully executed by their predecessors…. and watch their collective creative lips quiver and drop. Mixing and matching foreign brand positioning and creative executions is a big no no.
But this Swimsuit Illustrated + Mineral water billboard collaboration really does seem to work.
Individually they they’re not that noticeable, but shove a huge straw between the two and – hey presto – both look intriguing.

Cool. Now all we need is for brands to collaborate on television advertising and we’ll have a whole range of interesting stuff coming out.
