New iPod Video
Posted on 13. Oct, 2005 by Cassandra in Technology
Jeez…we’re struggling to keep up here.
Big tech news now is that there’s yet another new iPod available. This one lets you watch movies (150 hours of them), so those clever Apple brand people have named it….the iPod Video.
So now that you all know…please don’t go bothering those poor people at the Apple store at the Waterfront with your silly technical queries….because they won’t know the answers…and will probably argue that there’s no such thing as an iPod Video and never will be. Leave them alone…working in the little Apple shop is cool.
If you really need to know…read here, or here or perhaps here. Along with the all-new must-have video toy, Apple also released an all new iTunes 6 with the option of purchasing more than 2,000 music
videos, as well as five television programs from ABC and Disney, and
six Pixar short films — all for $1.99 a piece.
Don’t get too excited South Africa….you can download the app, but there will be no purchasing of movies or music for you yet. We’re still kind of believing that we might get our very own version by the end of this year.

Just wish they would give us a software upgrade for the new video capabilities – I for one am not forking out another R3000-odd just to get video.
