Severalls mental hospital

The is damn creepy.
From a website called Abandoned Britain, which features photographs of decaying buildings around the UK.
The shots which really caught our imagination are these ones of the Severalls mental hospital.
Severalls was built in 1913, housing around
2000 patients at its height. During the first half of its life Severalls bore
witness to its share of Questionable practices. Psychiatrists were free to
"experiment" with new treatments on patients seemingly at will, These
practices reached their climax during the 1950′s.
Hectic…it’s almost as if we were actually there at one time.

Wow, check this out. Courtesy of CherryFlava’s post CherryFlava posted that they found it creepy. Odd, isn’t it, that abandoned buildings, particularly mental hospitals, give us the creeps. I think it’s because of the things that we could imagine went

it is kinda scary, you should try going there at night. i used to go there every week. i know the place like the back of my hand. and yes before you ask, alot of weird stuff when on there, such as doors slamming for no reason, and well i’d rather not talk about the rest. still creeps me out, and it’s the reason i havent been back since

wel i have been camping dere recently and wil stil until i have been everwhere lol with my m8s we hav been al underground and yes its scary i recmoned trying it at night its wicked

hey, if you like urban exploration you should try this website, http://www.opacity.us,its full of photos…not crappy ones artistic ones of old hospitals, corectional facilities, factories etc etc and lots of interesting infomation on equiptment that was used. severalls should be respected and left as it was, horrible things to people in there, leave the building as you saw it.

I went there today… it wasnt scary, or creepy… in many ways it was sad, the place felt empty and forgotten

well when you think of mental hospitals you think of crazy dangeras and scary but there is many different stories to it
