Gaming revolution

The gaming geeks in Tokyo are working themselves into a frothing mess about Nintendo’s next-generation game controller….which is a one-handed, movement-sensitive, TV-remote-control-shaped wireless
device that allows players to direct actions through gestures as well
as button presses.
The practical applications of the controller could be fascinating.
Iwata presented a concept video showing how this might work, as gamers
of various ages swung the controller like a baseball bat, fired it like
a pistol, whipped it like a lasso, gestured with it like a conductor,
and even flipped the tip up and down to the familiar sound of the Mario
Bros. jumping effect. [Thanx Willoe]
The rest of the technical mumbo jumbo you can read here.
….all we really care about is whether it’s going to allow us to smack Brendan Jack in the face while we watch the Crazy Monkey movie on the TV.
BTW…Support serious SA film making and go see a legal version of the movie….or read his blog (which is actually damn funny)….or dial the extreme Crazy Monkey hotline on 082 236 0444….or just be really dangerous and ignore them all together.
