Africa is for Africans, but South Africa is for South Africans and those who live in it.
I have no problem with any comment and I have no problem with Oprah. Expression of views and feelings is a right which everyone is entiled to.
She just like South Africa like most people do. I will never believe in anything that has to do with DNA.

It is more likely that Oprah is a Seirra Leonian or Liberian or Ghanian rather than anything in central or south africa!!
It just goes to show that making good money has nothing to do with your intelligence!!

I live in New York. Last night Oprah appeared on a PBS TV program hosted by (Harvard University Chairman of African Studies) Louis Henry Gates. Oprah’s DNA was tested and she was informed that she had no Zulu in her whatsoever. She was matched with a West African tribe.
Oprah knew this when she made her comments the SA media. So she lied. She does this alot. Noone second guesses Oprah in the US. Her viewers obey her every command. If Oprah says McDonalds hamburgers have mad cow disease, sell your McDonalds stock now. Oprah says read a book, run to the bookstore now because it has already sold out. Oprah says cruise ship travel is unsafe, ships will sail empty. Oprah is a problem.

I wonder if she now regrets saying anything. She was denied access to the Hermes store in Paris because she apparently wasn’t recognised without her usual coiffed-for-t.v. ‘do. The store later apologised saying that they’ve been ‘having a lot of problems with North Africans.’
And, as we all know, North Africa, South Africa … it’s all the same to most foreigners!

Whats a matter with u people? If Oprah wants and believes she is a zulu so be it. If she felt at home with the zulu people, i think thats cool. Being a zulu myself i’m really not offended by these news

How convenient that Oprah “discovers” her Zulu roots after she announces that she intends to adopt a South African child. The only way an American can adopt a South African baby is if they become a SA citizen or marry one. I guess now she can claim SA citizenship and get her child without having to go thru the entire legal route. I know. I have been trying to adopt a SA child for months now and they won’t let Americans do it. She may claim to be Zulu but I personally feel she is a manipulator. Next she’ll be running for president of SA.

Media hype this whole thing….what was she going to do? Come to South Africa and tell everybody she’s Nigerian?
She’s clever…make friends with the local people…build a school or two…eat our fast food and then buy the country.
