Charity fashion

It seems like everybody is wearing a band against something. Lance Armstrong started the whole thing with his ‘Livestrong’ yellow wristband in aid of the fight against cancer.
To date over 30 million of these bands have been sold for $1 each. That’s a fairly successful charity drive.
But now..it seems that every cause under the sun has their own band…from the fight against AIDS to racism to tsunami relief. Every cause has a different colour…and they’re fast becoming the must have fashion accessory of the 05’s.
So gone are the day’s where a old lady with blue hair pastes a sticker on your shirt for dropping a couple of coins into her shaking tin. The future is rubber.
Just make sure you find a cause who’s band colour matches your outfit on a Saturday night.

Haha, those wristbands have already been banned at my school. The headmaster has a massive Ziplock bag full of them. At least it was for a good cause…

Damn but those things are getting boring, everyone and their dog is jumping onto the rubber-band-wagon…!
(I just made that up – I’m very bright and witty)
