Shut up

Black eyed peas are going to be in Cape Town soon…duh, but if you’ve cracked the nod to funk it up at the gig, there mught be a few numbers you might not recognise.
That’s because until recently they were a hard hiphop outfit that nobody really took notice of. Their first two albums ‘Behind the front‘ and ‘Bridging the gap’ were great, but lacked mainstream appeal.
Through a stroke of genius, in 2003 the manager signed up their ‘Wild Orchid’ superbabe Stacy Ferguson, who looked awesome on video – June 2003 they punched out the Elephunk…and they’ve been laughing since.
Here’s another shot of Stacey and more info in case you don’t recognise it’s her when the band get to SA.
…and don’t forget to learn the lyrics the Where is the love…otherwise you’re gonna look like an old phamsta that drinks Castle and wears Judrons.
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that’ll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin’
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you’re bound to get irate, yeah
